TOKENS (1998)
The dictionary defines ‘token’
as something that serves as an indication or representation of
some fact, event, or emotion; a sign or symbol; something that
tangibly signifies authority, validity; or a keepsake or souvenir.
This series of seven pieces is the
culmination of my long-running obsession with guns and violence.
Like all of the work in these series, the pieces are meant to
be seductive and a bit repellent all at the same time.
